The Journey

Born in Waterbury, Connecticut, Call Me Corron (Randy Corron Melton) is a multifaceted writer, actor, music artist, and filmmaker whose path has been anything but ordinary. A 2019 graduate of Howard University with a degree in Film & Television Production and a minor in Theatre Arts, he began shaping his creative voice early, producing his first web series, VICES, and its prequel, VICES – The Prelude.

After graduation, Corron took on the role of Jaheem Washington in the web series Black Enough, while also contributing as an editor and Digital Media Video Supervisor. By 2020, his creativity had led him to Los Angeles, where he produced content for notable clients, including Billy Blanks and Lisa Raye McCoy. In 2023, he returned to the East Coast to collaborate with Mecca Filmworks, documenting events such as the American Black Film Festival and the DC Jazz Fest, and capturing performances from icons including Robert Glasper, Common, Erykah Badu, and Twinkie Clark.

The Work

Corron’s portfolio spans theater, film, and digital media. His acting credits include stage productions such as Destination Freedom and SHE, lead roles in Appointment and Finding My Demons, and screen appearances in Sunsets (2022), Struggles of Being a Guy (2022), and VICES – A Web Series (2023). Beyond acting, he continues to create monologues, poetry, and film projects that highlight his versatility as both an artist and storyteller. 

Equally dedicated to music, Corron has released singles such as “Certified Crash Out” and “To Each Their Own,” now available to stream on Spotify and Apple Music. His sound reflects the same passion and authenticity that drive his work on screen and behind the camera.

The Vision

What sets Corron apart is his deep sense of purpose. As he shared in a recent Rooftop Truth:

“I found out music was my calling. I had this hunger for it, like I felt it in the depths of my spirit, that God called me to do it. And He provided me the words to say.”

For Corron, every step forward reveals more of who he is meant to be:

“Every project I’ve made has been showing me who I’m meant to be. This is like a step forward.”

The Road Ahead

Corron continues to expand his craft across film, music, and performance, proving that with vision, persistence, and faith, every step of the path matters.

His latest single, “Antidote” (prod. Antiquant), is now streaming on all platforms and features a moving voiceover by @sincerely_breeanna. He is also gearing up for the release of his upcoming project, Corronation, which is set to drop on November 23, 2025. The project promises to be another powerful layer in his creative evolution.
